Florence, South Carolina, offers the charm of a small Southern town with plenty of opportunities to explore. Though our visit coincided with the Thanksgiving holiday—and a packed schedule—we found some gems worth sharing and noted a few things for our next trip!

Start Your Day at Bean Bar Coffee

We kicked off our Florence adventure at Bean Bar Coffee, and it did not disappoint. The cozy atmosphere, fantastic food, and friendly staff made it the perfect place to fuel up. It's conveniently located near trails and is ideal for coffee lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Whether grabbing a quick breakfast or settling in with your laptop, Bean Bar is a must-visit.

Move Your Feet at the Florence Turkey Trot

Thanksgiving morning saw us lacing up for the Florence Turkey Trot. This community-focused event was a great way to kickstart the holiday and meet locals. The route winds through scenic parts of Florence, giving participants a unique view of the area. Whether you're a runner or a walker, the Turkey Trot is a fantastic way to join the fun and stay active. We always find a local Turkish Trot wherever we travel. It's been fun to explore the cities and see what every place offers.
